VTCC was established in 1995 as a part of the Institute of Microbiology and Biotechnology (IMBT), Vietnam National University Hanoi (VNUH). The main objectives of the collection are:
Enrich and maintain useful microorganisms by using standard methods
Carry out taxonomical research of microorganisms
Study diversity of microorganisms and their utilization (bioactive compounds)
Provide pure cultures of microorganisms and related information as well as consultation in the field of microbiology
Training young scientists in the fields of microbial diversity and culture collection management
The aim of JSPS RONPAKU (Dissertation PhD) Program is to provide tutorial and financial support for promising researchers in Asia who wish to obtain their Ph.D. degrees from Japanese universities through the submission of a dissertation without matriculating a doctoral course. This program is implemented in cooperation with JSPS's overseas nominating organizations in Asia.
The term OpenCourseWare was initiated by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2002 when MIT decided to post all of its learning contents on the web, and allowed free access to these contents.
With the objective «Knowledge is common good and needs to be shared», many universities and research institutes in the world have participated in the OpenCourseWare movement, and established rhe OpenCourseWare Consortium with the purpose of sharing learning contents, tools, resources, as well as implementation methods in the most effective way.
